Driving the BMW 1 SeriesThe 1 Series has a very good driving position , sitting lower than most but very comfortable. Radio controls and standard Trip Computer all easily accessible through controls on or around the steering wheel. The diesel engine is a particular highlight with excellent acceleration , top speed and excellent fuel economy ( regularly returning 50mpg+ ). The steering is excellent , immediate and light enough to be comfortable but with enough weight in the control to feel the car's movement. The suspension isn't as forgiving as others but this may be down to the run flat tyres that are standard with all BMW's now.
If you want to own one , be prepared to pay for that status and luxury. They are well made and designed vehicles , but while you choose the BMW , don't forget to purchase a BMW extended warranty that can help you in expensive repairs that can be required once the manufacturer's warranty runs out. ; Every BMW series cars have been one of the most renowned luxurious car models worldwide. Now with the introduction of more new models you can anticipate even better performance with the latest generation.

Despite being a rather senior car , the BMW had no faults , had a good service history and had never developed any major problems. ; It seemed like a case of wanting a new car for no good reason , because aside from perhaps being a little more linear than its younger cousins , the BMW was still a stately beast that was ever impressive and tastefully striking.
