The diesel engine is a particular highlight with excellent acceleration , top speed and excellent fuel economy ( regularly returning 50mpg+ ). The steering is excellent , immediate and light enough to be comfortable but with enough weight in the control to feel the car's movement. The suspension isn't as forgiving as others but this may be down to the run flat tyres that are standard with all BMW's now.
